A wealthy English antiquities collector at the 1851 Great Exhibition who acquires a Book of the Dead and, reading from it beside a briefly-woken Astral Bridge, unwittingly opens the door Salugi later uses to resurrect Cleopatra, Caesar and Ptolemy. He never understands what he did and dies discredited.
