What Vivek Won't Say
On a night train that's supposed to be the one place Salugi's people can't follow, Vivek finally starts talking — but the courier is already three cars back, and by the last stop he'll have their names.
Fleeing a courier working the Marrakech station, Siru, Marcus and Vivek make the last night train out with seconds to spare — only to find the courier boarded with them. Trapped between carriages, Vivek finally answers the questions he's dodged for weeks: there are cats, there are Bridges, there is a deadline. A busker's guitar becomes their cover when the search sweeps their car, and Marcus sings to hide the conversation in plain sight. Nuru's luck-sense threads them through one more scramble across the swaying cars to jump clear at the right stop — but the courier, left behind on the platform, radios two names ahead before the train pulls away. The rules are finally on the table. So, now, is their identity — in the wrong hands.
