To lift Jiao out of the Vatican's restoration vaults before Harry Brown's forged extermination crew arrives, Siru, Marcus and Vivek must sing their way through a choir rehearsal and beat a climate-seal countdown that could trap them with the cat forever.
A dawn deadline forces Siru, Marcus and Vivek into the Vatican's night-locked restoration workshops after Jiao, the eighth Good Luck Cat, hidden for decades among the fresco restorers. Vivek's short-range teleport only works in rooms he has physically stood in, so half the job is walking in the hard way before he can pull anyone out. When Harry Brown's forged pest-control team arrives hours early, the trio hide inside a choir rehearsal, forced to actually sing to hold the room — and Siru discovers a voice she never knew she had. A tripped alarm slams an artefact-protection seal shut on Marcus and Jiao, and only the rule Vivek just proved can save them. They escape with the cat — but Harry Brown is waiting in the courtyard, and he already knows where they're going next.
