To buy the lens a Bridge needs, the seekers must survive Chairman Cao's live factory floor — and beat Salugi's crew to a robot who is breaking its own code to save cat thirteen.
Siru, Marcus and Vivek reach Botiland to buy a Bridge lens from Chairman Cao, only to find Elsa Jones, Harry Brown and Willy Jones already bidding. Cao turns the sale into a live trial across his own production floor, daring both sides to prove they deserve his crystal. Under the gantries, Marcus's tattoo flares near a battered, protected Upzie unit — and when the mandatory shift-change chant locks the floor down, that unit sings the wrong verse on purpose, broadcasting a hiding place through a work-song built to never change. The two crews race the compressor's clock to the same panel, and the heroes pull Bomani out with seconds to spare, at the cost of the unit that hid her. Cao rewards nerve with a lens — and, true to his creed, quietly ships a batch to Elsa's crew too, leaving Vivek's map glowing toward a forest none of them have earned yet.
