In Narco City a gang's oblivious 'lucky charm' has to be made to believe he's a cat before a rigged party turns into his execution — while out on the open sea Salugi sails off with a cat and a hostage.
Salugi's crew tunnels into a Narco City safehouse and takes both Koba and Marcus Gray before Siru or Vivek can stop them. With no way to chase the water yet, Siru and Vivek turn to the only lead still open: Samson, a gang boss's superstition-charm who has never been told, or shown, what he really is. They crash his boss's party the same night a rival gang closes a weapons deal riding on Samson's 'luck' — and when Samson is forced to sing the ritual fortune-song, his power wakes for the first time in front of two armed gangs. Getting him out alive means making him believe what just happened to him, in the middle of a room turning into a firefight. Samson escapes believing; across the water, Salugi radios ashore to gloat that he is holding both a cat and a very valuable hostage.
