Planet 65 — the Solar Power Sphere

The Solar Power Sphere is an object. Set one on a plot and it runs the block: light, machines, pumps, the lot. It is the temporal power storage the Code Trekkers depend on, and the cell the Yazami Power Corp builds its battery trade around — the same technology that powers time travel.

The Solar Power Sphere Factory is a location, on Planet 65, and Chairman Cao is the boss of it. It is the only place the spheres are made. Cao already owns the Botiland glass works, which is why the two plants share a rail line and the same stubborn refusal to pick a side: he sells a sphere to anyone whose cheque clears — governments, Gravitrek, the gangs, Umbrax — and says so out loud, which is exactly why nobody has ever managed to shut the plant down.
