Princess Amarie

The princess of Catelonia, and the only royalty the island has. She lives in the only castle on it. The cats and the birds are drawn to her. Nobody arranged it and nobody can explain it; they simply come, and on Catelonia it has stopped being remarked upon. It is the first thing anyone tells you about her and the last thing anyone understands. Her castle is a court above ground and something quieter below — audience chambers and diplomacy on the royal floors, tunnels into the Catelonia underground beneath them. Her favour is a currency of its own: it opens rooms, and rooms are where a pioneer keeps what they have collected from the whole universe. Omnibis holds her temple on the same island and watches the castle without governing it.
