Earth, Acolal, and Bastet

Season One

The saga

From the gods finding Earth to the first Bridge waking — 47 episodes.

At Kadesh, 1274 BC, the cat-goddess Bastet gave Pharaoh Ramesses II eighteen Good Luck Cats — one bound to each of Earth's Astral Bridges. For nearly two thousand years whoever kept the oath prospered. Anubis sent the dog Salugi. The oath broke. The guardian Vivek scattered the eighteen across the modern world.

Now the asteroid Acolal is on a certain course for Earth, impact 2086. The only way out is back through the Bridges to Heliopoly in the Neterios system — and the Bridges cannot open until enough of the cats are found. Two strangers are pulled into the hunt: Siru Agar and Marcus Gray, neither knowing what they are.

The Gods Who Found Earth
Ep 01 The Gods Who Found Earth

Sent down to judge a newborn world, Bastet and Anubis survive a predator's ambush, a collapsing trench, and a flash flood together — and come back with opposite verdicts, one of them hiding what he really found underground.

The Eighteen Towers
Ep 02 The Eighteen Towers

While three of the world's first listening-towers fail at once — a bridge cracking over a quarry, a glacier closing on a tomb, and armed strangers walking straight toward a secret — Femi and Babu must save all three before dawn, and discover the failures were never an accident.

The Long Listening
Ep 03 The Long Listening

When a stone shaft collapses on the night the great silence finally breaks, Amon and Thoth must save a dying priest, a drowning granary, and a secret two thousand years in the keeping — before one suspicious rival ends it all before dawn.

The Covenant of Kadesh
Ep 04 The Covenant of Kadesh

Flanked, burning, and cut off on the Orontes, Ramesses II has minutes to live when the goddess Bastet offers eighteen supernatural cats to save his army — for an oath he must swear before the next spear lands.

The Golden Age
Ep 05 The Golden Age

On the one night Thebes throws its harvest festival, a granary about to explode, a flood arriving days early, and a royal succession brawl collide — and the covenant must save the whole city without ever being seen to do it.

The Emissary
Ep 06 The Emissary

As Rome's sails darken the horizon, Anubis smuggles his emissary Salugi into Alexandria through a dying Bridge-flare, and the charming dog talks his way into Cleopatra's court the same night he burns down the cover that has hidden the eighteen Good Luck Cats for twelve centuries.

The Broken Word
Ep 07 The Broken Word

With Roman warships inside the harbor chain and the temple burning around her, Cleopatra trades Ramesses' two-thousand-year secret for one night's alliance — and the instant she speaks it, every listening tower on Earth goes dark.

The Scattering
Ep 08 The Scattering

With Caesar's soldiers breaching the vault and Salugi hunting the light of every waking Bridge, Vivek races Femi and Babu across the ancient towers to send all eighteen Good Luck Cats into hidden human lives before the network — and the guardians themselves — are lost.

Lord Taylor and the Book of the Dead
Ep 09 Lord Taylor and the Book of the Dead

At the Great Exhibition of 1851, a collector's reckless bravado wakes a dead fragment of the old network under the Crystal Palace's glass roof — and in the ten minutes before that roof comes down on a packed room, the dog Salugi learns exactly how to pull a soul back through a living door.

Acolal
Ep 10 Acolal

When Neterios's watchers finally see the fifteen-mile rock aimed at Earth, the Ennead must vote whether a species that broke its oath still deserves saving — while the hall built on their harmony starts coming down around them.

The Guardians Return
Ep 11 The Guardians Return

As three Guardians appear without warning before a chancellor, a general and a secretary-general, the Bridges themselves ring out across the planet — and the leaders who run Earth have minutes to decide whether the impossible visitors are a miracle or an attack before soldiers, fire and a failing seal kill everyone in the room.

Gravitrek: A Bright New Horizon
Ep 12 Gravitrek: A Bright New Horizon

At the public unveiling of Nole Alset's cover-story space program, a hairline fracture in the demonstration shuttle turns the glossy launch gala into a live, worldwide near-catastrophe — and someone outside Gravitrek already knew the schedule before it existed.

The Nine
Ep 13 The Nine

As earthquakes, a runaway rocket, a jammed dam gate and a market crash erupt on four continents in the same week, Nole Alset races to recruit nine of the world's most guarded geniuses before whoever is sabotaging the recruitment can stop the exodus's leadership from ever sitting in the same room.

Heliopoly Rising
Ep 14 Heliopoly Rising

The Code Trekkers punch a dying Bridge window onto ground that is still being born — and find lobbyists already staking a city that does not exist, while the first tower has minutes to top out before the door home slams.

The Backlog
Ep 15 The Backlog

Undercover in Chairman Cao's bidding war beneath Narco City, Vivek learns the shadow economy runs on one rule — the cheque clears, no questions — and reads a manifest that proves Umbrax is already circling a guardian nobody has found yet.

The Scepter and the Tattoo
Ep 16 The Scepter and the Tattoo

A shuttered spice stall makes Siru's scepter shake like never before, and chasing the stray cat who won't stop circling it drags her and a stranded Norwegian surveyor into a smuggling gang's crosshairs — with a rooftop fortune-teller cat as the only one who seems to know why.

What Vivek Won't Say
Ep 17 What Vivek Won't Say

On a night train that's supposed to be the one place Salugi's people can't follow, Vivek finally starts talking — but the courier is already three cars back, and by the last stop he'll have their names.

The Fjord That Remembers
Ep 18 The Fjord That Remembers

When a superstitious rival skipper hurls Marcus's family cat into a freezing Arctic storm, Siru's scepter and Marcus's own long-hidden tattoo have minutes to find her before the fjord takes her for good.

The Understudy
Ep 19 The Understudy

In Vienna, a dog-souled financier buys an entire opera house to flush out a hidden Good Luck Cat — and the only way to get her out alive is to let her sing the lead.

Bassie Doesn't Want to Be Found
Ep 20 Bassie Doesn't Want to Be Found

When the brakes come off Lisbon tram 28, the city's happiest driver can save the hill or leave it — and Salugi, in the flesh at last, is already at the Thursday table with the better deal.

Femi and Babu
Ep 21 Femi and Babu

Bastet drags Siru and Marcus through the collapse that once unmade them, and they wake as Femi and Babu into Salugi's raid on the Marrakech safehouse — four cats and three people with minutes to get out, and a radio DJ already counting in her last song.

The Auction
Ep 22 The Auction

At a half-woken Bridge, Salugi finishes a resurrection two centuries in the making — then sends his three memoryless new operatives into a Geneva auction house to steal a sealed reliquary holding a Bridge key, forcing seeker Siru Agar into the room as a rival bidder before the case is even open.

The Black Forest
Ep 23 The Black Forest

In a stretch of German woodland where luck itself has gone wrong, Willy Jones blunders after a legendary "beast" with guns and fire while Marcus Gray races the same dark to reach the truth first — cat seven, feral for decades, and one wrong move from killing someone or dying himself.

The Vatican Cat
Ep 24 The Vatican Cat

To lift Jiao out of the Vatican's restoration vaults before Harry Brown's forged extermination crew arrives, Siru, Marcus and Vivek must sing their way through a choir rehearsal and beat a climate-seal countdown that could trap them with the cat forever.

Two in Kyoto
Ep 25 Two in Kyoto

Two hunted Good Luck Cats collide in a Kyoto night market and get shoved onto a festival stage together — and the power of two in one place is loud enough for every taker in the city to hear.

The Twin Bridge
Ep 26 The Twin Bridge

In Nara, a temple gardener's month of identical nightmares proves that some Bridges wake in pairs — and a sacred ceremony neither side dares break turns into a silent race to finish the map first.

Caesar's Room
Ep 27 Caesar's Room

While Siru and Marcus break into a London taker safehouse to steal the map of the eighteen Bridges, Harry Brown, Elsa Jones and Willy Jones edge toward the truth that Salugi has never told them what the cats are really for — and a song only Elsa remembers turns the night into a countdown none of them control.

Sekhmet's Warning
Ep 28 Sekhmet's Warning

When the assembled Good Luck Cats' combined power sets a Marrakech rooftop alight, the war-goddess Sekhmet steps out of the smoke to give Vivek a deadline inside the deadline — while an Umbrax hunter closes in on the light of it.

The Bird That Carried a Message
Ep 29 The Bird That Carried a Message

A storm wrecks the first landing on the isolationist Guardian Islands, and to earn the one component that can wake a Bridge, Siru, Marcus and Vivek must pass a chant-test with a valley people who owe them nothing — while a flooding mine and a runaway flier decide whether they leave with the part, or with nothing at all.

The Chibali Ice
Ep 30 The Chibali Ice

On a northern ice shelf the Chibali Guardian Tribe will not hand over their half of the wake-ritual until a stranger survives their trek — and Marcus Gray, of all people, is the only one built for it.

The Thirteenth Verse
Ep 31 The Thirteenth Verse

On Chairman Cao's factory floor, Vivek's search party must outbid Salugi's crew for the crystal lens every Bridge needs while a battered robot's deliberately wrong shift-change verse is the only clue to where cat thirteen is hidden before the line seals for the night.

The Mahu Forest
Ep 32 The Mahu Forest

To pry the last ritual piece from a forest that answers theft with collapse, the seekers must pay the price the Mahu demand — and for the first time, Elsa Jones is standing on their side of the argument, not Salugi's.

The Namboo Canopy
Ep 33 The Namboo Canopy

A hundred metres up in a storm-lashed jungle, cat fourteen's grief is growing wild through the trees themselves — and only a song called between the treetops can bring her down before the vines bring the whole village with her.

The Component Run
Ep 34 The Component Run

With every piece for the Bridge wake finally aboard, the crew must run a night blockade across open water to Guardian Island's Wake Site before Harry Brown's boats — who somehow already know exactly where they're going — run them down.

Two on the Reef
Ep 35 Two on the Reef

At a drowned island shrine where a paired Bridge answers to two altars at once, the Good Luck Cats bury a fallen ally while the tide eats the ground under them — and Salugi comes in person to steal the wake for himself.

The Toll of Narco City
Ep 36 The Toll of Narco City

The seekers reach a port where gangs already run cargo through a leaking, half-woken Bridge — and the price of passage turns out to be a debt only Senjo remembers.

The Toll of Umbrax
Ep 37 The Toll of Umbrax

To learn why Umbrax has spent a decade buying up Bridge keys, the team crashes a private gala above Narco City — where the only ally inside is a hostage forced to sing, and the price of getting the message out may be his life.

The Fixer's Debt
Ep 38 The Fixer's Debt

In Narco City, Hugo turns up caged and cursing his captors with bad luck — and the only price that buys him free is one Marcus Gray will hate himself for paying.

Willy Jones Defects
Ep 39 Willy Jones Defects

When Salugi orders a Narco City bunkhouse gassed to erase three courier witnesses, Willy Jones breaks — and runs for the seekers with the takers' complete Bridge map in his coat and every enforcer in the city on his scent.

The Council in Exile
Ep 40 The Council in Exile

In a back room above Narco City's biggest bank, Siru, Marcus and Vivek must buy nine Council votes for Heliopoly's founding charter before a hired lounge singer finishes her set — and a bomb wired under the table decides the count instead.

Two Left
Ep 41 Two Left

In Narco City a gang's oblivious 'lucky charm' has to be made to believe he's a cat before a rigged party turns into his execution — while out on the open sea Salugi sails off with a cat and a hostage.

The Trade
Ep 42 The Trade

At a neutral Bridge in Bolivia, Salugi offers Koba back for the seekers standing down at the wake — and the deal they take tears the site apart, frees Koba into the dark, and leaves one of the eighteen too broken to stand in the fight ahead.

The Minimum
Ep 43 The Minimum

With only twelve of the eighteen Good Luck Cats able to stand and a storm closing the wake window, Siru, Marcus and Vivek gamble on the bare ritual minimum to open one Bridge before Salugi's hunters reach the island.

First Contact
Ep 44 First Contact

When the overloading Stonehenge Bridge finally tears open, Ra's own council speaks straight through it to Siru, Marcus, Vivek and eleven exhausted cats — confirming the deadline, naming Heliopoly, and ordering the exodus to begin, even as the ancient stones crack apart around them and someone on Earth catches the leak.

Nole Alset's Lie
Ep 45 Nole Alset's Lie

As Gravitrek's grand unveiling goes out live to eight billion people, a hidden Umbrax device rides the broadcast toward detonation — and backstage, Salugi's one true word to Elsa Jones costs him the one piece of her he can't get back.

The Nine
Ep 46 The Nine

The first mass crossing to Heliopoly hits a live Bridge and a live sinkhole in the same night — and something was already buried under the ground they're building on.

The Long Way Out
Ep 47 The Long Way Out

As Earth's first civilians step through the newly-opened Bridge, an Umbrax data-theft turns the crossing into a structural collapse on both sides of the beam — and by the time the tremors stop, Siru and Marcus finally know exactly what they are, and exactly how much is still dark.
